You won’t just learn how puppets are made. You’ll create your own unique puppet and take home the patterns and skills you need to start making more puppets after the workshop!
From a Piece of Foam to a Character with a Personality!
Puppet making is a world full of details, experimentation, and discovery. With every step, you get closer to bringing your imagined character to life.
During the workshop, we’ll work together on shaping the head and face, installing the eyes and mouth, adding fur, and refining the details that give your puppet its distinctive look and expressions.
You’ll explore puppet-making techniques and put them into practice yourself, discovering how a collection of materials gradually becomes a complete character.
By the end, you’ll have made your own puppet, from the first step to the final detail!
Discover the World of Harat Adduma
I’m Buthaina, and for more than 20 years, I’ve been designing and making puppets, developing their characters and manipulation techniques, and exploring how puppets can be used in education, theatre, and communication.
Over the years, I’ve learned that puppet making is much more than putting materials together. It’s a combination of design, experimentation, technical problem-solving, and creative details that give every character its own identity.
Through this workshop, I want to share a part of that world with you and give you the opportunity to explore these techniques yourself and experience the joy of turning an idea into a real character.
Welcome to Harat Adduma!
